About Me

My name is Tim Hoeck.

I am a computer freak currently living in West Palm Beach, FL - but I am NOT a Floridian. I was born and raised in Maryland. Growing up, computers always interested me, forcing me to learn anything and everything I could. I pick things up pretty quickly, and I taught myself programming in a few different languages. Moving down here got me a decent job doing call center training for a Web Hosting company. I have since learned the ins and outs of domains, dns, and hosting.

I have recently been getting into the “social” aspect of the internet, or more specifically, the so-called mashups or life feeds. I find the consumption of internet information overwhelming, and I am looking to find ways to make the process less painful.

Programming I have done ranges from Web Sites (PHP, CGI, JS, ASP), to Windows applications (VB.NET/C#), to Tivo HME applications (Java), to applications for Sony PSP (C, Lua).
